Across ecosystems

JERICA designs and creates intergenerational business ecosystems.

Business ecosystems are networks of interlinked companies, organizations, advocates and the environment. These dynamically interact with each other through co-opetition and collaboration to survive and thrive across generations.

We take inspiration from the natural environment to understand, influence and replicate economic and social ecosystems that are regenerative, reciprocal and inclusive.

Business ecosystems like this promote the sharing of knowledge and net profits, support micro-economy development and ethical purchasing across supply chains, and embedding natural ecosystem stewardship approaches.

Market

Your context is defined by you. It is the space in which your organization has been or wants to participate in.

We help you to rethink the market and redesign the economic approach and business model that best fits the business, social and environmental outcomes that you want.

We always work with you to think intergenerationally, inclusively and ethically. This way, your organization and the people within it can maintain a positive legacy, echoing your passion and commitments.

Catalyst

Catalyst or keystone enterprises create new business ecosystems, and set and evolve the best conditions for all actors within the ecosystem.

This is corporate responsibility made real, transparent and effective for more than a few shareholders.

Catalyst enterprises combine revenue generating activities and direct and indirect positive impact on the surrounding social and natural environments.

We work with you to ensure you’re acting as a role-model and a catalyst for lasting, reciprocal good - for people and planet, for partners and stakeholders, for individuals and organizations, for production and biodiversity.

Integrated Projects

Businesses and catalyst enterprises are dependent upon partnerships with other complementary organizations. Understand the needs, strengths and gaps, we support the development of integrated projects which will enrich the overall health and viability of the business ecosystem.

This is where smart technology can play a part, as well as micro-economies supporting underserved local communities to participate and benefit from business ecosystems.

Integrated projects also serve to highlight and intensify the impact of projects working in the UN SDG areas, local-context specific.

Community-led Initiatives

No business exists in a vacuum. Better businesses understand local contexts - the communities their workers live in, the natural environments their products rely on, the everyday experiences of their customers.

Disconnection from communities and from nature often drives singular, extractive and ultimately damaging practices. Working with communities to listen to their ideas for long-term sustainable and regenerative approaches will ensure interconnected and reciprocal alliances.

At JERICA, we support the establishment of autonomous community-operations and social enterprises that participate fully in business ecosystems. Many of these initiatives are built around adaptable steward ownership models that suit local circumstances.
